A horror movie night, a simple dance and drink bash or a combination of both, Halloween parties at home are the best kind. With little to no idea as to what goes in an actual Halloween party, it can be a bit difficult hosting one; fear not (or do it’s Halloween!), cause we have gathered some ideas on how to throw a successful one. Decorations
Spooky is the word of the day and so are the decorations. While none of your guests will be particularly scared to death, adding spooky elements will lend to the scary atmosphere.
To start with, use cheese cloth and burlap as drapery for your windows to add a haunted mansion feel to your place. Add to that some spider web made with black string and you will have a complete look

Use plastic toy spiders to play on that arachnophobia most of your friends have. Stick some magnetic sheets cut out with glue on mini spiders and place them on metallic surfaces in your home and watch people shriek with fright!

If you are not one for spooky décor and want to delve into some autumn themed decorations, try decorating the front of your home with pumpkins, faux autumn leaves and berries to create an autumn paradise.

Jalapeno Poppers mummified

· In a bowl mix some cream cheese (at room temperature), grated extra sharp cheddar, finely chopped green onions, a dash of hot sauce and spoon into a piping bag or a Ziploc bag with a snip at one side.
· Heat your oven to 200°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
· Cut some jalapenos in half along the length; remove the seeds and pipe some cheese mixture into each one.
· Cut pastry dough into ¼ inch strips and wrap them around the jalapenos and bake them for 15 minutes. Cool and serve.
Stuffed Mushroom Eyeballs

· Pull out the stems from some button mushrooms and set them on a baking tray.
· Puree some extra firm tofu along with a garlic clove, lemon juice, salt, Italian dressing, onion powder and black pepper until it’s a smooth mixture and spoon into a piping bag.
· Pre heat the over to 177°C and pour some balsamic vinegar drops into the mushroom caps.
· Pipe some of the tofu mixture in each cap to make a mound and top with julliened sun dried tomatoes and halved black olives.
· Bake for 15 minutes and serve.
Peanut Butter Mousse Graveyard

· Mix some peanut butter, whipped cream, cream cheese, vanilla essence, sugar and a pinch of salt in a bowl.
· In a separate bowl crumble some chocolate chip cookies.
· In a dessert glass, layer the crumbled cookies, them some of the peanut butter mousse and then drizzle some chocolate fudge sauce. Repeat these steps one more time to create a second layer.
· Decorate some rectangular cookies with black icing to look like a gravestone and stick it into the mousse and voila!

· Fill a pitcher with blood orange juice, chilled blackberry soda, rum, fresh lime juice and mix well.
· Top with some fresh blackberries and thin slices of blood orange.
